There is a "hidden" candy cane in the animation that will give you a bonus prize if you click it. 1 December's is hanging from the orange streamer.

I totally didn't get today's animation.

I was hoping someone here would be able to explain it to me :/. The Grarrl was Rosie who did the easter event in 2009, before she was replaced with Kari and the Festival of Neggs. I thought she was pretty terrible to be honest, TNT seemed to try and make a go of the idea before swiftly brushing her under the carpet the next year.

Why she's turned up in another animation now, I have no idea. I wonder if this animation or parts of it were originally made for a previous year - TNT have been doing a lot of recycling lately (caption contest, this year's GMC, &c).

edit: Rosie's on the icon for the Pound Neoboard - that might have something to do with it? Although why Bug eye McGee, Count von Roo and the Kreludan defender bot are in the pound, I have no idea.

I'm assuming that this was in reference to this year's April Fool's Joke. Seeing as Rosie won the voting for new pound director, the other three were probably miffed...

I loved today's animation and clicked with a lot of anticipation for cool beachy/stowaway holiday items for my gallery (or customizations)... and then I saw the prizes. I guess the nova is sort-of related to the animation, and I shouldn't complain about a book, but... come on! The items should be coordinated to the animation! A wearable (or Neohomable) stowaway tree would have been cute. Or maybe a star upper foreground item? *sigh*

I don't recall seeing a Neopet with a five o'clock shadow before. Do we know who the kyrii today was as well, or was he just a new character for the advent calendar?

Jelani, I'm not sure. I think maybe Hanso had one during Cyodrake's Gaze, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't a Kyrii. And I think maybe some pirates have it? Or maybe just other "lost at sea"/castaway advent animations from past years (not that I remember which year...)?

(Actually, that would be a pretty cool archiving project, creating a searchable database of the various Advent calendar animations by theme/character.)

Today's animation was really cute, though it took me two times through to find the candy cane (and a third to click on it...)

It's on the table, and it will briefly come to rest mostly hidden -- but still clickable -- to the left of the tree next to the gingerbread house on the right bottom of the border.

I missed it a few times, too. Good to know that you can still click on it after it goes behind the foreground. I was clicking like crazy on 3rd time through to try and catch it. Got it on the 4th time :/
