I have a sinking suspicion I'm going to have more points than I know what to do with. I plan on taking the stocks and bank interest ones, once they're available, but that's only about 1/4 of my points. I haven't checked to see if I'm missing any avatars other than the royal-korbat one (which you can currently only get one of anyways), but I'm fairly certain I'm not missing any site themes. Fairly certain, at least.

I'm excited about the shop limit going up, as when I have time, I'll be able to put nearly all of my items currently in trades into my shop!

The Spiked! Perk is now available. You can redeem it twice.

Con: can give out agility and intelligence.
Pro: Increase is +10 for all of the stats except level, which is +2.

I used it twice and received:
Your pet's level increased by 2
Your pet's health increased by 10

Oh, did they fix the glitch? I heard when it first came out, it only healed instead of increasing the stats. They've also tweaked the prices on some of the other boons, so it might be worth waiting a bit to choose boons.

Yes, indeed the boon was glitched but was fixed within a few hours. There was also a glitch were the boon table was out of order, and showing a different price. This was also fixed and all the prices are still the same as they were originally.

Going by the boards, the only thing changed is that soame boons now have multiple uses. (I didn't keep a list to know myself).

Both Random Acts and Spiked can be applied twice.
Dragon Drama can be applied 5 times.
Notable Achievement isn't available yet but it changed from a week to one day but it's still 10,000 points.

Ah, darn. Guess I should have gotten the good boons while they were discounted - except that would have turned out to be taking advantage of a glitch (unknowingly, but still...). Ah, well. Should have clicked more. Nah. It's just pixels.

You didn't miss out on anything Siniri, the boons weren't working for the wrong amount. It wouldn't process.

I suppose that is something. Could you imagine the pandemonium if the prices had suddenly changed. LOL

I went ahead and applied the Bank and Stock boons today, and the inventory one twice. Still have 30k+ points to spend, ugh. Not sure what I'm going to do with them!

I also spent my points, couldn't hold onto them any longer. LOL.

I have 1949 points left. Nothing at all interesting left.
I could have gotten the shares perk but I just have no interest in investing, so instead went with the bank perk and I turned a side pet - a poogle into a MSP.

Man, I *really* wish I'd paid attention to my total and had more time to donate... I would have definitely made sure to get to 5000 points. As it is, my 4911 points are basically worthless, because I can't get either the stock or bank boon, the only two boons I'm really interested in.

Let's see how I can spend those boons...

I can get Spiked 2x and get some BD stats. Daze, you got the HP permanent increase and not just healed, right? JN doesn't list that glitch as fixed yet, and I don't want to waste points... Then again, if I get movement or intelligence, I'll basically be wasting points anyway. Hmm... Well, that would use up 2000 points

I can spend 50 points per avatar to buy avatars, but I don't care about avatars on this account anyway...

I can spend 1 point for site themes, but again, I don't care about site themes on this account...

I could spend 100 points to double game winnings (but only up to 1k per play...). I wonder how it would stack with the featured game? Might be worth using during 5x play if I have time and the inclination to play stale Flash games...

I never sell anything anyway, but maybe I could increase my inventory for 500 points/slot? Except that would only save me 1600 NP. Nah. Now if it were *gallery* slots on my real account... *that* would have been worth it.

So... 2000 points for spiked, maybe 100 points for avatars (no sense using points for clickable ones, but may be worth it for the opposite Royal Korbat and maybe the game one)... even assuming 11 points for site themes, that would leave me with 2800 points. That's 28 days of doubling game points. Why does that perk suck so bad? The normal featured game doubling still gives you 2*1k. Games are really not the cause of inflation anymore; it's dailies. I don't know many who even bother with games (besides maybe FC/DD/GMC/AC).

JS did a terrible job with point distribution and making worthwhile perks. I doubt they'll carry over to next year, and it really stinks that more than half my points will be wasted on basically useless perks. I probably will just leave a lot on the table, because I can't see myself playing enough games on 28 days of the next year to bother clicking over to redeem the perk.

A few tips for you Siniri.

Perks have a use limit.

Spiked is 2 uses.
Yes, the HP has been fixed. BUT, you don't get to choose what you get.
It could be intelligence, movement, Hp, Str, Def, or Lvl.
All stats are +10 except Level which is +2.

One use only
Avatar: Make sure you have all the clickables and easy ones, as you cannot choose.
Site theme: Same as avatar, make sure you have all the easy ones. *You do get 2 site themes.

I really agree Siniri, the points were not thought through at all.

I used JN's guide. I saw the 2x only for Spiked but totally missed where the avatar and site theme ones were one use only. Ugh. So my points really are useless. I guess it's "worth"* getting the gaming one just to use them up, though I *really* *really* wish I'd made those last 5 groups of donations. Seriously. It sucks so bad to be so close to a decent perk and yet can't get it.

*Not sure when I'll want to play enough Flash games to get down to ones with crappy ratios to even make the perk worthwhile, though...
