I'm not sure I'll be able to make it through Wingoball, even with a guide. I'll keep trying, but I'm having trouble getting through it at all. The guides don't seem to line up with what I see.

Siniri, for the bounces, try bouncing before the kass hits the ground. I find that it seems like I do better if I'm a hair ahead of it.

After quite a LOT of practice and failed attempts (in the 890-950 range), finally got it:

The key to this one is getting the first ball bonus in as many rounds as possible! You will be close to or over 1k entering the last round.

That's what I do. Trying to bounce sooner made me get a lower score.

Edit: I finally got a fourth bounce... and still only a 979. Whatever. That's three for the day.

Newspaper - News actually printed on paper. Not just any paper, but newsprint paper. And, they were delivered to your home, purchased at a newsstand, or at a newspaper vending machine..

Eeek by, did I. (I can do better on both of those, but those were the first scores I got over the challenge scores and things are crazy right now. Maybe if I need a stress break, I'll get better scores on them later. Those are two of my favorite games, so I might well do so.

Aww, do I need to lower the score on my second game? Sorry, I didn't realize I routinely end up on the hs table, and that really, there's only luck between my hs and half my hs... so I guess the score was a little high. Maybe I should check past challenges to see...

But for now, back to sleep. Hopefully I can sleep through the rest of the night. Darn coughy cold.

(just ask the Red Erisim).
Keep an eye on the lower border;
a green one reaching it will be grim.
Protect the library from being cursed
with a 400k (nothing worse).

My monthly hs is 415,200 in a fairly bad-luck game

Hints:

Stopping at 9, then 19, then 28 maximizes your opportunity for bonus runs (repeats after every three levels). Sometimes it's better to do short runs with multiple golds vs. longer runs with fewer golds (the score at the bottom tells you which is better). Once the hourglass is full, you can click on it to cure all cursed tiles. In later rounds, your best bet is to make the longest runs you can to avoid the game ending, but in early rounds, it should be about building the biggest bonuses you can.

I've apparently scored just over 500k in this game before, but I can't seem to get close to the 400k mark right now. Maybe it's just because I'm tired and having bad luck. I'll try again after a nap.

ETA: Taken care of. The "shuffle" function can definitely be used to your advantage.

Yay, Blue! Woohoo! You finally beat it! And got just about 1k NP, too! Did the game ever grow on you at all? I do wish they had a more tetris-like game...

I loved that game so much. My dad hacked into the game's code and would set an "impossible" fake high score - which I'd then work on beating for a week or two until I succeeded! I was motivated because I figured they were actually possible. He didn't tell me what he'd done until years later... Apparently he'd get home from work and see that I'd beaten his old high score and feel compelled to play until he could have the top score again. It took him hours, but I'd usually only play a few games to beat his score! (We're a mite competitive in my family...) That's when he resorted to setting fake scores, but I figured he'd just had a great run of luck. He only did a couple of fake scores before he brought me to a level he realized he'd never catch up to , at which point he moved on to Free Cell.

(This is the same man who would drag out a game of Connect Four for forever because he didn't want to lose to a six-year-old. He's a great chess player, but there are only a handful of moves in Connect Four, and you really shouldn't need that much time... There's a huge advantage to going first, like in Tic-Tac-Toe, and I think they'd always let me go first...)

Yep. I beat the "Abi" score No way I will beat the original score today. S3 will take long enough. I am currently about 1k under my current HS, but still a ways to go to beat the S3 score... Pickles really killed it, I see.
