What happened that you were nearly scammed out of 10k!? (Taxes stink)

I think it was the marrow tax? It was a RE, not a scam, and it was nearly 10k, but the NP are actually gone. I realize now the way I wrote that, it may have seemed I wasn't talking about Neopets, but that was a continuation of my list of bad Neopian luck.
