Fell asleep, but my cat just helpfully woke me up. Order it is.
Edit: just realized I haven't done any obelisk battles yet (of course, just after I maxed out on items and NP prizes in plot battling). Will be getting some in now!

I almost did the same. Realized on had only *cough* four battles in so far.
Now well above the minimum

Looks like we won! Woot!
With the Faerie Festival supposed to start tomorrow...I'm thinking that the FQR boon will be the best. Maybe I'll buy a FQFC and use it as well. Yep. That's what I did. Bought a FQFC. Will open it up later tonight to make full use of it.

Re: Battleground of the Obelisk [Split 9]
I was just coming here to ask when the festival is supposed to start! Thanks, Pickles!
FQR will definitely help me. I'm 105 HP away from 3x level. Didn't quite make it in time for the festival. I'll probably be turning down a lot of quests this time, but now I'll have twice the chance of getting one I can use.
I really wish the event were giving out an HP increaser along with the level, defense, and strength increasers it's already giving out.
I suppose I should calculate the savings per stat from the event vs. the cost of the extra codestone/training before deciding whether to take the bump. Or I could get up at 3am to lose levels again...

I wish this, so much.Siniri wrote:I really wish the event were giving out an HP increaser along with the level, defense, and strength increasers it's already giving out.
Figuring out how to navigate the quests will be tricky, Siniri. You're not alone in that, though: BLP hit level 250 today (he level smashed to get to shorter training times), so he's double training (Mystery Island 24-hour courses AND Secret Ninja 4-hour courses) for as long as he can. His first cookie quest today was light...and he refreshed it and got fire, which he was thrilled with. He wants to try and stay on 250 as long as he can, but honestly, I'll be surprised if he makes it through the week. I guess it's one extra 24-hour training every day longer he manages to stay on 250? I told him not to stress the double training TOO much, but I think he wants to see what he can do with it. At this point, he should be able to at least take advantage of it tomorrow by doing his training before he does anything else. We'll see what happens.
FQFC's:
Day 1: Fire (Bori Gardener Hat) -> Dark (Chuckles Punching Bag) --> +3 HP to battle pet (Off to a good start!)
Day 2: Dark (Altador Paddleball) --> +3 HP to battle pet (woot!)
Day 3: Air (Pink Toothbrush) -> Fyora (Metallic Kau Boots) --> +2 Lvl +5 HP, +5 Str to battle pet (woot! Way better than air!)
Day 4: Light (Venuquin) --> +2 Lvl to battle pet (needed some levels thanks to training and the battle faerie quest...so...that was helpful!)
Day 5: Faerie Queen (Sunny Yellow Lamp) --> +2 Lvl +5 HP, +5 Str to battle pet
Day 6: Water (Underwater Fish Recipes) -> Library (Meowclops Statue) --> def+3 to battle pet (that was...ironic)
Day 7: Soup (Large Ice Creamy Jelly Smoothie) --> +2Def +2 HP to battle pet
Extras w/o refresh:
Day 8: Battle (Cheese and Pickle Sandwiches) --> +3HP, +3Str, +3 Def to battle pet
Day 9: Fire (Moehog Card King Sword) --> +3 Str to back-up battle pet
Day 10: Fire (Torn White Gym Socks) --> +3 Str to backup battle pet

Re: Battleground of the Obelisk [Split 9]
Well, spoiled caviar. I completely forgot about this... Refreshed Quest Request for me, too! Cookie time! And, cracking it open at 9:30pm NST should definitely help me make sure to get the full 10 days out of it
Day 1: Grey, Buzzer... Refresh... Air, Transparent Lemon Soap (1.1k)... +3 movement

Re: Battleground of the Obelisk [Split 9]
I still haven't claimed my boon. Ironically, I found the meager treasure at the faerie caverns with my regular route, so I haven't missed anything... Except I got an earth faerie quest today and didn't think about the fact that I could have refreshed it!
Definitely need to remember tomorrow.
Good luck to little P! I didn't even realize you could train in two places at once.
Now for some dirty math. I'll have 100 or fewer HP to go by tomorrow afternoon. It would be an extra 0.5x cost per training once I bump level. So theoretically I'd need 33 HP from quests (= 66 codestones at current training) to make up for needing 1 extra for the other 66 HP training with an extra codestone.
Plus the option to take a chance with Count Von Roo to bring level back down (sadly not an option for little P until Halloween).
I can't remember how long the festival lasts, but I'm going to go ahead and take the good faerie quests for my battle pet. Hopefully I can reduce level again to make up for any gained. Maybe I should play Deadly Dice to build a buffer for levels now. But what if I increase it instead? Hmm. No, I'll wait.

Good luck to little P! Sounds like he's doing great with training.
It's easier to lose levels vs gain levels with Deadly Dice, especially if you are ok to lose one level at a time. Ties (and wins) are tricky. Check the PPT article for the timing. I recommend refreshing the page often and watching the on page clock carefully prior to the actual click time.

Re: Battleground of the Obelisk [Split 9]
Deadly Dice is essentially completely random now, unfortunately, due to the debatable site lagging. I wouldn't count on it for anything, even if the timing information is correct.
You can ONLY double train when you are exactly level 250 - it's the first level for Secret Ninja and the last one for Mystery Island. You cannot double train at Mystery Island and Krawk Island.
For what it's worth...I gained exactly 33 HP from the FQ event last year, Siniri...plus other stats. It will depend on how they do it this year, as to whether or not all the faeries are available or not, which I think made the chances of getting HP higher.

Re: Battleground of the Obelisk [Split 9]
The lag has always been somewhat of a challenge, which is why I recommend refreshing often and looking at the Neo Clock. If the refresh takes longer than expected a few seconds before your desired time, then wait until the next appropriate time to roll the dice.Pickles wrote:Deadly Dice is essentially completely random now, unfortunately, due to the debatable site lagging
Cookie Quests.
Day 1: Grey, Buzzer... Refresh... Air, Transparent Lemon Soap (1.1k)... +3 movement
Day 2: Air, Blue Nail Varnish... Refresh... Fyora! Sweet and Sour Soup (26.2k!) MyPet's level, strength, and health have increased -- a lot (+2, +5, +5). Feels like a lot for a quest, but well worth 26.2k for those stat increases.
ETA: I will be tracking the quests on the 2024 Faeries Festival thread... here
ETA: I will NOT be tracking these quests on the 2024 Faeries Festival thread...
Cookie not wasted. I wonder if all refreshes will align with the FF and only the "Best" faeries will appear upon a refresh.
Day 3: - Fire, Fire Jug... Refresh.. Library Faerie (!?!) She is new... (not even on JN!), but it looks like she is covering for the Grey Faerie...? Questionable Quiggle Eyebrows (3k)... + 3 STR
It looks like refreshing a cookie quest gives you a faerie in the FF pool
Day 5: Earth, Tears of the Water Faerie... Refresh,,, Fountain (oops), Vibgyor Flotsam Dress... Free dip. (I dipped Blue to be Purple before completing this quest
Day 6: Air, Golden Altadorian Lotion... Refresh... Fyora, Evening Kougra Dress (8.5k) My Pet's level, strength, and health have increased -- a lot! (+2, +5, +5)
.. and I forgot to change my active pet again! So, my shoyru gained the quest goodies
Day 7, grey puppyblew,.. Refresh... library nimmo Rice Ball (1k)... Fire +STR
No more refreshing
Day 8: Air, Strawberry Toothpaste (1.4k)... refresh is not an option... +3 Speed
Day 9: Grey, Buzzer (700), fulfilled by Water... +3 Defense
Day 10: Grey, Hopso (19k!

Re: Battleground of the Obelisk [Split 9]
Eeeeeh not the best options this week. Was hoping for another quest refresh option, but...Seekers at least has the bank boon?
Re: Battleground of the Obelisk [Split 9]
Bank boon sounds perfect -- you just have to remember to claim it Monday, and then it's no extra work. Which is exactly what we need this week.
