Ugh. As soon as I tried to sleep last night, my nose and eyes started streaming, even though I'd just taken my Zyrtec. I had to sleep with two pillows propping my upper body up, and I'm still a little queasy this morning. Couldn't really sleep.

Already cancelled work for tomorrow. Parents who don't at least inform you their kids are sick are just... I'm losing income on top of being miserable from their little germ factories. Hopefully resting will make me well enough to work by Monday.

Well, I don't feel any better, but I don't feel much worse, either. My congestion is a lot less runny and more stuffy, which is actually a good thing because the runniness was actually caustic and burning the area under my nose. It's much less red now than it was last night.

I'm very tired, though, and glad I cancelled work. Hoping I'm a bit better by Monday.

We were called super late last night to inform us that our company (supposed to arrive today) wasn't coming after all. I have a LOT of feelings about this. The kids are extremely disappointed. Our week is now completely up in the air.

Sadly, it was not an emergency. They knew it was a possibility ahead of time (for multiple weeks if not months) and chose not to tell us until the last minute. Had we known, we could've at least prepared the kiddos for it instead of having to dump it on them the day they were expecting guests (that they had all kinds of plans for). We've spent the last 36 hours going through a range of emotions about the whole thing.
I have definitely been lazy, though. There was a long list of things I had planned on getting done during the day yesterday before they arrived and pretty much the only thing that DID get done was practicing for my rehearsal last night and attending it. We are being relatively relaxed, today, too. In that, it's kinda nice, because I really DID need a break, and I wasn't going to get one until after Christmas.
