Nah. Beatings only lower morale. Besides, they were "good" while I was gone. They kept the ship from taking on water, much less sinking. The main backlog was my workload, but the primary source of irritation was my staff keeping me occupied one after the other asking way too many questions preventing me from being able to work on said backlog... But, that's all water under the bridge now
