Day 1: 1.5k

I slept off and on all day yesterday and only needed to claim my quest log, spin Trudy, and grab my negg (I mean, there were all the other dailies, but I wanted to at least do those 3 -- I'd completed the quests while pet-sitting). And despite sleeping all day, I fell asleep before even collecting the quest prizes. Chronic illness sucks. So frustrating.

At least I managed to wake up before 3am tonight and not miss again. And at least missing day 1 on the negg festival (for the same reason) minimized my expectations -- and I was still able to pick up yesterday's negg despite missing the clue.

They fixed the quick stock, so everything showed up on one page and let me move 53 items at once (and the mobile view is much easier to use than the old one, very nice now). They added a stacking feature like inventory has, but I didn't use it because I always keep one cheap grooming item out for that daily quest.

P.S. most of the pages do much better on mobile view compared to desktop on a phone at this point.

A critical day bonus and matches on the next 2 critical days. It won't be a record high, but this round is above average -- assuming I can finish it.

I still hate the new quickstock. It's still too spread out and takes up too much space, and doesn't have everything on it anymore that I used to have access to in one place without a thousand extra clicks.
The old one was my hub page, with immediate links to everything. Still being on a PC, I hate having to click to drop down a menu, then click again. I prefer to have a functional page that has all my general go to links to do things, and that is....no longer in existence with the removal of the old quickstock page. I have actually dialed back significantly what I've been doing on Neo in the last few days because of it (because quite frankly, I hate interacting with the new quickstock page so much that the less I have to go to it, the better), and find that with the kiddos almost done with school, I'm actually enjoying working on other things more.

I do NOT understand TNT forcing everyone to the "mobile friendly" pages when, on PCs, they're clunky and huge and painful to the eyes. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having both version functioning - one set for PC use, one set for mobile device use. But...apparently PC users can't have nice (or nostalgic) things, only people who play on their phone can.

(Yes, I'm riled up about this, still, even several days later. Can you tell? )

PPT ate my response listing all the changes that still bug me (icons that don't make sense and are in a different order than the old links, bank vs. inventory link for NP, etc.). All new pages have a desktop and mobile version, so I'm not sure why they're not optimizing for PCs. Maybe tablets use desktop? But they could change that. At this point, I just use the address bar to go where I want to go. It's usually just 1-2 letters at this point.

I completely understand the ire against the new page. I actually have had a semi-dedicated browser primarily for Neopets. The address/bookmark bar is 99% neopets items, including a drop-down folder with all of the wheels. The only exceptions are a bookmark for "PPT Active" and a "PPT" drop-down folder with each site hosted on the server and a link to the Webserver Host company's dashboard for server status and submitting tickets. I needed to use it tonight to get the server back up. I seems to have let it run out of space again... Whups. Need to prune the logs more often and not let 2 months of backups pile up, especially if one of those backups has a MASSIVE error log in it...

It is very clear to me that they are only worried about mobile players and don't care about the PC-only ones. They've posted twice in the news about how they made quickstock "better" now, but to me...nope. Still stinks.

Thank you, but I'll stick to my PC for anything I possibly can. A full keyboard, mouse, and a more ergonomic setup is far better for me. I have enough trouble with my neck muscles already - I don't need to make it worse.

It's worth submitting a ticket about the PC version issues. I would play more often on my laptop if I could leave it set up, but I have to hide the cord from my cat so I can only use it on my bed. Not ergonomic at all.
