Frozen for borrowing?

I'm frozen, I was a few minutes ago, I asked to borrow some avatar stff and they reported me! I hate Avatar New Member! IF I ont get my account back I would have lost over 90 avatars, around 18 trophies and loads of stuff/nps

I already send in the form

I hope so, I feel terrible, I worked so hard on that account! It cost me millions!

Thats horrible.

I hope you get it back. They seem to look down on borrowing for avatars.Like if someone makes a topic on the NeoBoards,thats an easy way..you might get away with it on here,for example,but I wouldnt reccomend it.

The message I think they want to show is,"work for your goal"...but in the wrong way,you know?

If you want such avatar stuff, just join a guild, they have things like that so you can get those avatars.

Thats probably what he did. I really wouldn't take a chance with that either. But I'm paranoid.

avatar item lending/borrowing are pretty common nowadays..i find it incredible that you got frozen for it. did you get into an argument with some other players while posting about it?

Where did you borrow it? From the forum, trading post or neomail? If it's the forum maybe you can use a side account to access the forum and take screenshots of the conversation to help in getting back your account. If not, do you need help in getting the screenshots?

I don't see it saying you can't borrow something for an avatar in the rules.

That's just unfair... Frozen for borrowing? I'll freeze Adam for taking the last cup of coffee, and for not leaving any of it for the other staff members. Erm, how do I even know that he took the last one... Well.

The boards are full of report-finger-happy people, so it's pretty much a dangerzone.

Another one: Someone got a warning just for saying that he doesn't like Hilary Duff. He didn't say anything bad. He just said that he doesnt like her in
his humble opinion. And people reported him...

The boards on Neopets have become totally outrageous, especially in regard to report-happy people who derive some sick pleasure out of trying to get people frozen. It is atrocious that Neopet monitors take the word of some of these players as the gospel truth. ALL postings that are reported should be read by the monitors before they press the "Freeze" button.

Dragon, I'm sorry this happened to you. You should not be frozen for asking to borrow an avatar item, especially if you offered collateral for it. My guild has an avatar item loaning program, and we've never had any problems with it ... so far.

Darkside, it's ludicrous that someone got a warning for not liking Hilary Duff. (I wouldn't mind seeing the Hilary Duff boards disappear though, lol!)

EDIT: I just checked the Help boards over at Neo and found the Hilary Duff board. It is pretty harsh, although it's obviously playful. The thing that stands out to me, though, is any board titled, "i hate hillary duff post again if u hate", really has no business being put on the Help message board. The Help boards are for people who need help with Neopet-related things.

Thanks for all your help people, I've still had to response regarding my form, and yes Chaud, I've been frozen wrongly this year, but that was in the major glitch in april, I got my account back with my stuff! I hope they listen to me.

I was trying to borrow in the boards!

Neoboards is a haven for report-happy users that can make you frozen if they gang you up. Sigh.

Always do your transactions (avvy item borrowing/lending) through a guild or here in PPT... or better yet do not borrow at all. Try to earn for the avvy item, then just resell it. I wonder what were you borrowing anyway?

I hope you get your account back. Trophy-laden accounts are just a waste if they get frozen.

That's just crazy, I could see it if it you were lending and demanded a tip or something. What do they expect players to do when they release avatars for items that are super rare (mspp or pea) and retired items (meowclops)! There is not enough for everyone just to go and buy one
