The thing is that Bellezza_Regina's owner can't be the one who created the image since their owner hasn't been on neopets that long.

This has been the most stolen image I have seen on neopets yet, and it isn't all that great.

I'm suprised they managed to get 1st place with a stolen image.

I'v seen an ixi picture stolen and edited over 7 times.
Luckly each person who steals it gets frozen. I'm not really sure if i'm the only person reporting them... But even so.

Maybe it's the same person and they've entered under a different account? Or, the person who won back in September, 2003 knows this other person and they gave them the picture?

Yes, I've seen a good bit of art/graphics theft, and I've had parts of my lookups taken and used without permission. Who knows how many people have done this that I'll never know about! And yes, any art or graphics theft by anyone makes me so I have neomailed people who I know someone's taken their work just so they're aware and they can handle it as they see fit.

I think this particular case needs to be looked at before there's any finger pointing though, because there is a pretty big time lapse between the first person winning and the second person - 8 months. It's not like this picture was in the art gallery or BC within the past month.

The latest page for art gallery for blumaroo day had AT LEAST 2 pictures stolen from LAST YEAR's blumaroo day special... Try going back to the last page of the old art gallery... 2 pics there appeared AGAIN in this year's special... Now is it just me or can we enter the same pics that got accepted over and over again?

I remember someone entered a picture they took from yerf.com. They even had the picture on their pet's page DIRECT LINKED from yerf. Needless to say, someone got frozen that day. Hey, that rhymed.

I just can't figure out why people think they can get away with stealing art Seems like it happens every week in the bc.

It happens multiple times.
In the gallery, on the BC, and elsewhere. Layouts... for guilds... userlooks ups... everything.
I recently caught word of people using my maraquan draik as a layout and I just reported them. Ones been frozen, and I got a rather threataning neomail about a day after. Reported that too.
*Shrugs*
The best you can do is report the people you see stealing.
I'm not sure how many people go over the artwork, but at least if they're told that this is happening... well maybe they can try to do something about it.

In the BC, I'm not all that surprised about art theft. But in the Art Gallery, TNT should notice! It's a huge problem, but thankfully they actually get around to freezing the thieves.

I never acctually seen an are theft (except forthe ones pointed out today). It's just shameless how people steal from other people just to get that moment of fame...

And I hate to say it, but... those aren't the best pics I've seen in the BC... I mean, they're good, but... I've seen better. This kinda stuff always makes me angry... being an artist, it's one of my pet peeves. C'mon people, it's a game!! Don't steal!
