Maraquan Kougra

Display your creative spirit here in the Pink Poogle Toy Gallery. It can be art... it can be music... it can be a poem (even haiku)... but most of it... it must be you.

Maraquan Kougra

The full picture can be found here. (691x720, 327KB)
Adobe Photoshop 5.5
The finished design for one of my Maraquan pets, Ayim. He's a rather noble fellow and here he's.. checking out a pretty good sized.. pearl? Or maybe just some random shiny orb. Love shiny orbs. Shiny stuff in general. Hence his shell. I'd never seen a Maraquan Kougra with a shell so I figured- what the hey, let's try it out. ^^' I think I might enter him in the upcoming beauty contest. Not quite sure about that yet.
Comments n' feedback very much appreciated.

Oh, wow! This is great... I love your art, it is always so detailed.

I love the expression on his face as he looks at the bubble... it's so cute! And the paws are really, really well done. I love the markings. ^.^

Just a question - is that a rock in the backround? Or more a coral reef, or what? Any way, it really fits. :)

Great job!

Oh wow, that's amazing! I like the markings around the eyes and the forehead. Heh, his expression is adorable, sort of confused and sort of in wonder. I'm really fond of the eyes too, so gorgeous. :)

Aye, thank you both for the commentary. ^-^

Yep, it's like.. a large rock formation. Not sure if there would be a specific name for it or not. Like a coral reef without the coral maybe? I was originally going to try for a really complex background but then I feared it might distract from the kougra design. The ocean-y rock seemed to work well.

LOVE THIS PICTURE. His expression is awesome... like he's completely confuzzled. :P Anyway, I could go on and on about the general spectacular-ness of this picture. Great work. :)

That is really impressive! It looks great. :) You did an excellent job making the orb look shiny.
