10th October - Eyrie Day!

To get Eyrie Day off to a flying start we are pleased to unveil the new look Eyrie. Ok, its not drastically different, but we think you will like it

All Eyries who pay Captain Threelegs a visit will be able to claim free training all day long.

There is a rather exciting Eyrie themed Background for you to use.

Brighten up your shop, gallery or webpage with this snazzy new Blog.

Some of the characters from our Lost Desert storyline have been added to our Press Kit Images page.

A new Caption Contest has just begun. Can you think of something funny to say about it?

There are lots of new Eyrie Shopkeepers for you to choose from.

As well as shopkeepers, there are some Eyrie themed Poems for you to read.

Eyrie fans can now select one of these new Buddy Icons to use.

As well as the make-over which will gradually be completed over the coming weeks, Eyries can now be painted Maraquan.

A new round of the Story Telling Competition has just begun.
It was a hot day, and the last thing the Techo wanted to be doing was pushing a huge cargo of fruit toward the market. He had to sell his crops, though, if he wanted to have enough Neopoints to buy dinner that night.

There are oodles and oodles of Eyrie themed pictures on display in the Art Gallery.

The Collectable Card Shop has released a new card featuring a rather heroic looking Eyrie.

This week's first Pet Spotlight award has been given to an Eyrie called Xraoie.

Oh jeeze I thought the Eyrie they showed was the revamp of the happy pose, then noticed it was angry. Scared me there. I like the revamp

Not much else to say on the news.... hey wait where's the Faerii Eyrie?

I am SO happy they re-drew the eyrie, I didn't like the old way it looked. I think the way it's standing is much better.

It's a good revamp, but I really do not like the wings.... they just seem so off for me as far as it even slightly resembling some bird-like wings (and they still look like something pasted on, just not so much)

Such a shame for such a blemish on a needed revamp

So, my only revamp complaint is that the Sad pose lost most of its 'bruised ego' look. Eyries used to seem sulky and put out, now they just look...normal sad. I know that my Eyrie would never let anyone see him close to tears. He'd hang his head and brood about it.

But hey, the revamp is otherwise great, doesnt have the full wings I wished for, but at least its better

Ok, notice that the wings on this one emerge from the ruff area. I like this a lot better, the wings seem more on the sholders instead of emerging from the butt area. Anyway, I guess it is too late to change their drawing, but I wish that they could do the wings more like they did on this one, if anyone of the staff is out there and taking note of this.

The eyrie's wings look good in the redraws -- baby, faerie, Darigan, plushie, royal -- so why didn't they fix them in the revamp? It just boggles the mind.

Aside from the placement, the main problem with the eyrie's wings is that they're too small. Those wings don't look like they could hold up a creature of that size and heft (we all know no wings could, of course, but they should LOOK like they could).

See, they're just too small. And that works on something like the skeith:

Because the skeith is so big, and the wings so tiny, that it's obviously being played as a joke. I don't think they intend the eyrie to be a joke, so it's just sad. Why can't they all have big, feathery wings like the faerie or Darigan eyries?

the new eyries rock, despite the seemingly perpetual wing debate. (they're not going to change it, just leave it alone!

Also, the new colours (Maraquan and Faerie) are..Love. With feathers.

They might still tweak it a bit before it is released. I don't know. But they might based on our comments. I mean, it looks awesome except for the wings. I don't know how much it work it would take to fix them now, but maybe they can still tweak them some.

We can say it is released since Yellow, as well as a few of the special colors, have already been converted to that template. Hopefully they can stall the revamps for the rest of them to rework it.
