How many times have you moved?

#1 Post by Pudding »

I’ve only moved twice in my life. The first time was to a rental house while we were waiting to move into the house I’m currently living in. I was an infant at the time. I’ve lived in the same city my whole life.

Has anyone moved a lot? Or not at all?

Once, to a bigger house 10 minutes away from my first one. Not too traumatic. :)

I moved into this house about 3 or 4 years ago, it's about 1/2 a block away from my old house (maybe a 5 minute walk?). Other than that, I've lived in this location since I've been born. :P

We've been thinking of moving back into the old house though.

I moved from one house to another in Phoenix (where I was born), then to Corpus Christi, where we lived in a hotel for awhile, then a nice apartment with a jacuzzi for a week, then another apartment, then an actual house, then up here in Austin. So that's like 6 times, although just counting cities I've moved twice.

I've moved a few times, even before becoming a university student. Let's see, from Charleston, S.C. to Indiana house 1, to house 2, to house 3, (to university dorms), back to house 2, ( to university dorms), back to house 3, to apartment 1, to apartment 2, and finally to apartment 3 which is where I currently live. I'm not sure if I'll be renewing the lease for this apartment (hopefully my husband will have a job in a different city by summer), so I'll be moving again in a few months most likely.

'Bout 4 times.

From England to China, China to HK, within HK to another place a few miles away, and then from that place to where I am now.

Hmm, let's see... from the wee place outside the city I was born in to another town (neither of which I remember), then to another part of that town, then to a village, then to another town, then to a hall at uni and then to the flat I'm in now :D

So 6 times. There may possibly have been another town in between the two I'm too young to remember but definitely 6 or 7 times anyway.

Let's see....I was born in Washington state then moved to Indiana to somewhere else in Indiana to Georgia to Ohio. I then hopped between the Los Angeles area and Virginia while I attended USC (FIGHT ON!!). I'm currently in Virginia but will likely be moving again within the next four months...eventually I hope to end up back in LA cuz I love it there.

I never moved, and I really hope I never do. I'd miss all of my friends too much.

Umm, I'm not sure. Let's see...

House #1 - where I lived until about kindergarten
House #2 - I can't remember how long I lived here, a couple of years
Apartment #1 - In between houses
House #3 - I lived here a couple of years, too.
Apartment #2 - After my parent's divorce, Mom moved here.
House #4 - And Dad moved here.
House #5 - And then Mom moved here.

So, six times? Houses #1 and #4 are in the same town, and houses #2 and #3 and apartments #1 and #2 were basically all in the same town - no idea why we moved the first couple of times. House #5 is in a completely different place. I'm in #4 and #5 right now.

Too much.

I switched families 9 times, 8 different states. Then to Canada with a group home, then the group home moved to here, then I moved out on my own, three different places.

14 times or so.
