Desktop Wallpapers

#1 Post by Charisma »

Okay I was looking for cute wallpapers and such for my desktop and I came about this site http://www.wallpapers.com/

I really think the moving ones are cute, but I don't know how to tell how much they are going to slow down my computer o_O, I have 512MB of ram, and I don't want to get it if it's going to eat it up. Also, if anyone has had them, is it difficult to get rid of them if you don't want them? o_O

I had a 256 ram and it was immensly slow when I tried an animated desktop. I don't exactly know how it'll slow down a 512.

You should put it in your My Pictures folder, then it will easy to delete. ^^

I think I helped out. o_o;;

If you are going to inmstall that, then you may want to make sure to ignore all of the survey stuff at the begining of the install, and dismiss all of the freeze.com stuff.

Anyway,

your RAM is not all that would change the speed of your computer due to an animated image. You should post your CPU speed (in GHz), your graphics card brand and make, your OS and any other stuff that shows up in Control Panel>System. (If you're on any Windows XP machine.

I'm not game enoguh to install this stuff as I know that anything that includes surveys at the begining of it's install is not always reputable.

So, post your system specs and I might be able to help.
