Dragon Quest VIII

#1 Post by Ken »

Anyone playing this game?

I think its awesome. Its...like an old school RPG that doesn't hold your hand throughout the entire game. I found that even when I was a few levels above the suggested level, the bosses are still very very tough. Some enemies are as tough as bosses themselves.

Its also very long. IF you wanted to collect every monster, item, gamble in the casinos, do sidequests, it can take you up 100+ hours of gameplay.

I had this game since Christmas and played it a couple of hours a day since, and im still not even 1/3 done with already over 28 hours logged.

I would reccommend this game to anyone who enjoys RPG's. :)

I rented it from Gamefly. Sweet game time happenings.

I got it for Christmas. I played it for a little while, then went to Ratchet: Deadlocked. I've beat that now (on regular contestant mode anyway :P), so I'm going to DQ later today.

I got it for christmas and love it.

Though I do have a gamblling problem.
Actually that problem could be useful since I am currently in need of armor.

And I love the cutscenes in this game.

Any way, I'm currently stuck because of my level, I have a habit of beating bosses early, I think I might start on the monster collecting side quest before going further.

Oh yeah, It's about time it was brought over with the coorectb name!!!

I've been playing through it everytime I get the time for a few weeks now. I loved it at the beginning of the game, but now that I'm getting toward the end I stopped wanting to play it.
