Do I need to use the Hard Bat to be able to get the tree-Bat?

Being able to use the tree is completely random and a very rare occurrence. Usually when people end up getting it, they initially think they've done something wrong or there's a glitch in the game.

Misguided how?

I know that it's extremely random, but I haven't actually heard anything about if you need to have been using a particular bat beforehand.

I've never heard of someone being able to USE the tree as a bat, but just becuase I've never heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist...

If anyone can figure out how this works, eh, lemme know!

It exists.

It doesn't "work" in a particular way, it's a random once-off thing, where you will be holding the tree instead of the bat. There's no way to guarantee it to appear.

I have never gotten it, and I must play several times a day (it's my favorite meridell world challenge game). But I use firefox exclusively - it may be a thing where it only works in IE.

No. The game is programmed in Flash, and is identical in all browsers. Furthermore everything on the site is tested in all browsers to make sure it works properly. The only differences are a stupid "Bookmark us!" link at the bottom of the page in IE (which is from about 6 years ago, still unchanged), and that some of the ads do different things.

Every time you hear someone say "It works in one browser but not in another!" it's because something's wrong with their computer. For everyone else there is no difference.

The Kass drops whenever you press the Space button (or click). When I got the tree, I had to wait for about three minutes because the wind kept staying at -3. However, I ended up missing. >.>
