I heard about this on the news tonight. Really funny and more proof why I like Taco Bell more.

The moral of that story is you should not use a debit card to buy your fast food!

The couple should probably change banks, because there are a few banks that will immediately release the funds if you need it (say, you had a big paycheck, it takes a week to go through, but sometimes you can call the bank and they'll immediately put the money in the account.)

But wow, that's crazy. Why would anyone buy something that costs less than $5 on a debit/credit card?

I always have 20cents bills on my card, its an easier way to get cash outs in 5's :)

I had to use a card on a 20p supplement that cost no more that US$3 last quarter. I felt horrible that I didn't even have US$5 cash on hand

I've done that before, but it was always adding a extra when punching the amount they gave in, and as long as you know how much they really owe, and how much change they get from what they give you, the drawer comes out even.

It was explained to me as when they bill you. Debit is immediate while credit is eventual. I think. Could be the other way around. Try Googling it or checking Wiki.

A debit card is a cash card, its just like carrying the entire contents of your bank around in your wallet. A credit card is borrowing money from the credit card company to buy something you need/want and then paying back over a period of time for a set interest rate.

In other words...

Debit card= Good
Credit card= Bad, unless you're a responsible person

You can't get into debt from a debit card.

That's why you have a lot of idiots working in fast food. I hate eatting out because of service. If I want to eat out, I usually go to Bobby's Salazars! Yeah!
