WARNING email 'become a staff member'
I just received a very suspicious looking email, in which it was said that you could become a staff member. DO NOT open the link, it will redirect you to a non-neopets site where you are supposed to download firefox, and after that you get a fake login page.
Needless to say: DO NOT ENTER ANYTHING, don't even click the link in the mail.
As precaution measures I changed my password (and no, I didn't enter anything in the grid). Maybe it's nothing, but I thought I'd get the word out.

Now I slither through the hairline cracks

I got one of those neomails last night. I didn't go to the link; I just reported it as a scam... Anyone claiming to be able to make people staff must be scamming. At the very least, linking to a site outside of neopets is against the rules. I checked the user look-up just now, and it's already been disabled. I just hope it wasn't some poor kid's stolen account that got frozen...

Some newbies, who might not know any better, may fall victims to this scam, but you shouldn't call them stupid, they're just clueless...
I really should train myself to not get my hopes up with Neopets because I'll just end up falling harder on the ground... face first!

Erm I did something that I think may be stupid after I got that email....
I logged out and set the internet to 'private browsing' (meanings cookies etc cant be taken) then I went to the page and put some very rude words in the login box that was there.
I thought it was just gonna send them words to the lovely scammer who made the page but now you're all saying dont even go to it im worried, should I be???
And to the person who thinks people would'nt be stupid enough to fall for it, it looks very convincingly like a neopets page, and like the staff login page may look like, I think people could easily fall for it.

But it's an offsite link, that should be your first clue. Besides, there's a page on Neo that lists the job opportunities.
