Oooh! I had one of those. Then I accidentally touched it and it died on me
So now I have a huge heap of Purple Hastas... not my favourite, but that's what I've got to work with. One can't always grow what they want to. I also think that peonies are a very nice flower.
P.S.: I think that flowers shouldn't be a girl-only subject, even if it is. I like to garden, and it shouldn't be stigmatic that girls only like flowers. There are those of us guys that like 'em too.

My grandfather could make any flower grow beautifully except African violets. I guess my favorite flowers were always the ones he grew. I wish I could find out his secret. =P

I've never particularly gone flower searching to find one I like, but I have always loved the multi coloured (red/orange/yellow) marrigolds. It's like they're on fire with coolness. It makes sense.
Tulips! They look so simple (compared to some other flowers), but they're so pretty and elegant. They remind me of spring, but they're arguably a lil more alternative than daffodils
In general, I tend to like the tiny wildflowers and weed-flowers. The ones you don't really notice unless you actually stand still and peer at the ground closely. They're so cute!
Sweet! Nice to see I am not the only guy that likes flowers!
I do like sunflowers, but everytime I see one, I think of dead bones and it raining blood. I can't get that scene out of my mind, if anyone knows what I am talking about.
