Tarla's Warehouse Giveaway (Split IV)

It takes the skills of being alert and lucky to grab something from the warehouse.

But first you'll need the toolbar: http://toolbar.neopets.com/

When something happens, that alert button will *flash yellow*. And you better click it as soon as you can to grab the goodies, cause Tarla's giveaway doesn't last long.

This is the one and only place to talk about the happenings... and the missings... I guess... Yup!

I see that the items she gives out are now random.

This could be interesting - cheap prizes versus better prizes.

It may stop the items dropping in price so fast.

It probably will, although the prizes from the items that were 'inserted' via Tarla rose pretty decently again after a day or two. But I like it. I like the fact that she's still giving out prizes, and even more than that, I like the fact it doesn't just feel like they're giving away NP's in item form, unless you happen to have a use for that particular item. I wonder what's next? The return of giving away Paint Brushes - mixed with the chance of getting a Clawmatoe? I'd really like it if you had a chance to get any, but I do mean any item in the game with the give-away. I'm sure there are plenty of cheap items to balance out all the expensive stuff you could get. Maybe a good opportunity to re-insert some retired items into the game.
Well, sorry if I ranted off a bit, but there you have it, my 2 (well, maybe they were 5) cents on Tarla's Give-Away ideas for the future.

A guild member just posted that her prize was from the message that said Tarla had left but had "dropped" some items.

So it seems that if you actually receive a prizes you get the same item, but if you pick up an item it will be random.

Ah, I thought there were only dropped items now. But they're still giving them away regularly as well. Nice to know.

Thanks for posting the link to the toolbar (see last split).

After refreshing it for a while when the alert went off earlier, this is what appears to be happening.

Alert blinks
Tarla has a (fixed) prize for about 3 minutes.
Tarla "leaves" but has dropped something (random - tends to be worth more???) for an unknown amount of time.
Tarla is gone and scolds us for begging.

Hrm... what is it? Were you looking to get something for free? Sorry, but Tarla doesn't have anything at the moment, and begging won't get you anywhere. You'd better come back and try to catch her some other time.

Whenever it flashes, I click right away and always seem to miss it anyhow. @.@ geh. *pokes firefox* maybe we're experiencing toolbar lag?
