Random theft events and rare items
Hi all, I'd just like to know something about protecting rare items and especially those that are battledome equipment.
Obviously it is possible for the 'item theft' random events to appear at any time. Does this mean that if I want to buy expensive weapons then I must accept the risk of losing them whenever I transfer them between my Safety Deposit Box and my pet's equipped stuff? Is there any way to avoid this risk? Similarly for non-battledome items that are moving between SDB and anywhere else.
Cheers.

Hmmm I don't think that there's any method for equipping pet items from the safety deposit box, but at the same time, I don't believe that the chance of your items being stolen at that EXACT moment is very high at all, so there's nothing you really need to worry about. The real problem that I think TNT would want to focus on is the problem of ghosts stealing money from your pocket that isn't there. It truly is annoying to find yourself with negative neopoints after simply cruising around the site for a while.

What ^ said is really true. Even if you have nps on hand, let's say 7nps, and the ghost steals 40nps, you'll still have negative 33nps, which doesn't make sense at all. I hope that TNT can make it like this: If I have no nps, and a ghost steals, I still have 0nps. And when I have let's say 7nps and a ghost steals let's say 10nps, I'll have 0nps and not negative...?

Yeah I agree, it's unfair that you can have NP stolen when you have none out. It's very uncool to end up with negative neopoints. >.<
I always get a bit nervous when moving expensive items around (not that I have many XD ) so I to what stampsyne does. I always have some junk items out as well, decreases the chances that the valuable item will be stolen.
On a slightly related issue, how many NP can be stolen from random events? Is there a limit? Or is it possible it could steal a couple hundred thousand or something? (Sorry I didn't mean to highjack the thread >.>)

So in that case, if negative neopoints can no longer happen, it's always best to have 0np on hand, because you can't get negative, AND if the angry tax beast steals, 25% of 0np is 0np, so he steal nothing!

Yeah that would be best. I always have 0 neopoints out, unless I'm in the middle of playing games, or intending to buy something.
But, since currently negative neopoints can happen, what's the most that can be stolen from you, while you have 0 neopoints out?
The Kadoatie steals 5K right? But does it only take it if you have 5K on hand?

I usually have 100np on hand (obviously more when I'm in the restocking mood), so if I get a percentage of my nps stolen, it isn't that much of a loss. I don't really care about having negative nps on hand anymore.
But I did have an unfortunate incident when I bought a bottled water faerie and some grundo stole it before I even saw it in my inventory:(
About the kadoatie, yes, I think that's right.

Oh my! That's awful!
I'll try to keep more in my inventory when I am putting something expensive in there.
I've been pretty careless about amount of NP I carry around, too. I try to deposit most into the bank just before I close up for the night, so that I get interest on it. And I like to keep about 500 NP carried around so I can play the wheels and other games without having to go to the bank to withdraw NP's.
