Your "ultimate" pets

I've been thinking about paint brushes/morphing potions lately, and how wildly they've inflated. Nowadays painting a pet is a hefty decision since it takes so long to afford a brush. (I recently painted my kyrii royal, which spurred this train of thought.)

Do you have a Neopets "dream team"? Have you planned out exactly what your neopian family will look like when it's complete? Is your neopian family ever complete; that is, will there come a time when you're so satisfied that you won't add any more pets or change any of your pets' looks? How long do you think it'll take you? Have you already reached that point?

Did you plans ever change or go awry?

If you do have an idea of what your "finished" pets will be, post them (list or pictures). I'd love to see!

Pets you love but do not intend to own one day - because of price or whatever - don't count. This is only about pets you plan to get eventually, even if that's a long time from now. ^__^

Or just discuss.



Anyway, for me the ultimate pets are/will be:




+ faerie eyrie (doesn't exist yet ;_; )

So far I have my royal kyrii, and I'm quite close to getting a tyrannian pb for my lupe. After that I'll have to think of names before I decide which pet to save for, since I haven't ceated the pets yet. ^__^;

The Neoboards are leaking...

I've already got 3/4 of my dream pets. Waiting on the lab ray to zap my last one robot. I wish there were an easier way. I'd be willing to pay any price, because this is getting so tedious. 2+ years and counting, I believe! It is currently a Maraquan Kau.


As for my side account, I've got 3/4 of them painted as well. The 4th I want to lab into MSP, but not having a lab ray on that account makes it a little difficult. It is currently a blue Poogle.



Lastly, I'm convinced TNT will eventually let us have 5 pets per account. On their birthday a couple years back, in a list of new additions to the site, they said something like "You can now have FIVE pet-- oops " Or something like that. So if that is the case, I want the following as well:

Those are the three I'm currently working towards. I've saved up about half of the np required for a royal pb. I've been zapping ixis for about a year, even used some transmogs, because I'm determined to get one for free(or close to it). The pteri I'd been haphazardly zapping for because I'd rather have the unreleased Tyrannian buzz. As for my other 17 pets, they're exactly as they're meant to be. They include a: lab pet, Darigan eyrie, Island kyrii, skunk jubjub, Maraquan acara, baby buzz, Maraquan krawk, royalgirl flotsam, faerie ixi, faerie pteri, orange chia, faerie buzz, robot ixi, mutant gelert, orange grundo, Darigan kau, and Darigan grarrl.

I've painted, repainted, and zapped them and countless other pets over the years, and I'm feeling a bit claustrophobic now that I'm close to finishing my goals. I'd kill for TNT to give us a fifth pet slot, even I had to pay real money for it in some way.

I could only have my "dream pets" if they release a faerie eyrie and it's as good as, or better than, the original (never-to-be-released) one. My eyrie is currently baby and I'm not a huge fan. The rest of my pets already look the way I want them to.



The mutant gelert was originally a Tyrannian lupe:



That's my favorite lupe, and I was going to change my pet back to that, but I've gotten pretty fond of the gelert's art. He also looks nice and scary, like a battlepet should.

There are a lot of other pets I like, but none I actually want to own.

Eh, dream pets.

I don't really have any at the moment, but then again, I've always been way too poor to afford anything past what I have now. My side account has really nice pets (Island Lupe, Desert Wocky, and an Island Shoyru) but only two of those were what I created myself, the other is one I adopted. ^^;

I would probably like to take my current Christmas Prteri on my main and turn him back into a Cybunny at some point (Got the idea about a year ago to start labbing him, thinking maybe I'd get lucky. Lo and behold, two zaps later, he turned into a Uni.) and maybe paint him Electric. o.o

But, that's a long ways off. XD

miah, the PPT forums don't move as quickly as the Neoboards. People respond when they have time. Some threads go days without people posting. Also, the mods frown upon double-posting (posting more than once in a row). There is a little edit button in the corner of your post that you can use if you have something else to add to your post.

Right now I have a Red Lutari, my labby (started as a red Xweetok), Faerie Yurble (I love), Halloween Yurble (I want to paint him Island real bad), and a Yellow Lutari (I'm hoping for a good paint brush soon)...so I guess that means that I only have one of my dream pets so far. I'd love for my lab pet to turn into a Faerie Xweetok, but I don't know if that will ever happen at this rate. When I've met all these goals, I'll probably open a side account and start creating new pets.

Ah yes, the "Dream Team."

I forced a change on mine right before the ToW plot because the ridiculously high goals I'd set for myself were pushing me towards the brink of Neopian-based insanity. This was my idea of perfection 6 months ago:

I probably would have gone mad before I completed even half of them. So, I abandoned 5 of my 12 pets, two which I'd actually already painted their desired colors and was left with the seven pets who actually had some form of personality on them.

These are the Spectacular Seven (I know, I know, *gag*; comic title idea.) as they currently stand. As I want them to stand:





For now, I'm done. I'm considering painting the Lutari and Ogrin some unreleased, probably basic color, but aside from that, I'm done. The only thing that will tempt me to get an 8th pet is a Draik egg magically falling into my lap.


EDIT- ...Darn it, TNT. The freakin' day after I made this post:
