Favourite Games Device and Why:
My favourite would have to be the PS3.

I'd have to say the DS because as great as the other systems are, the DS has *tons* of great games to play atm, whereas with the others I could pick a handful on each. It's also portable. Being able to take it anywhere is very convenient. The lower price for games helps a bit, too.

Other since the middle three are my choices and the ones I play the most. (And they are the only ones with games I like on them.)
Re: Favourite Games Device and Why:
DS, for pretty much the same reasons Jas mentioned.
Also, you need to check out this game thread...there are so many awesome games for the DS, in all genres:

Other than that my favorite games device is seriously my Sega Genesis and PS1, haha. Love those classics.

DS, Not only is it portable and has tons of great games but it is also wireless and you charge it with the plug thing that come with the DS (whereas for the Wii you'll need more batteries and a Wii-Mote charging thing (sold separately) to charge your Wii-mote).
Indeed! Especially Streets Of Rage 2 (aka Bare Knuckle 2), Boy, I loved playing that game as Blaze Fielding and destorying the enemies in the game. It's a shame a fourth game was never released!
My other favorite Genesis (aka in Europe as Mega Drive) games were Sonic 2, Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers (Cammy is my favorite character from the series and I miss Cammy and her Thrust Kick and Cannon Drill moves.) and Mortal Kombat 2 (My favorites characters in that game were Scorpion, Rayden and Milenna).

Truer than true.
I'll go with DS for this, but Wii's up there too since it has Brawl.

Eh.
To be honest, I loved my Gamecube. Gamecube is to me is what (S)NES and N64 were to other kids. But PS2 is also awesome. Then again, so is Wii. >>;

Why can I not vote for my P.C exactly?
It has more games than any of the consoles put together, a vastly superior online mode (COD4 on the 360. Wow. 8 dudes. I regularly play with upwards of 60 with no Lag. It's CHAOS I grant you, but sometimes utter chaos is fun.) Graphics and controls are superior on almost all Genres, and I tend towards top-down RPGs, FPS' and RTS', which are so obviously superior with a keyboard and mouse that the nerd rage arguments against it are just funny now.
But if pressed, my DS is wonderful.

Old System -- the NES system. I loved the Mario games, and there were a few other good ones too! =D My personal favorites were the Dragon Warrior series. I was scared of the music on some of them though. =P
Current system -- Probably the DS. I don't have one yet, technically, but I'm looking forward for when I do. ^_^ Not only do a lot of the games sound fun, it can also play the games from by GBA system. =D

Well I did want to know more out of the "consoles", but I wasn't sure whether PSP and DS came under console so I just put device. PC would just come under Other though
Re: Favourite Games Device and Why:
Surely PC deserves a named place. *sniff*
Didn't mean to offend if I came off that way.

I've got a Wii, and while I do like it, I actually like the PS3 more. One of my best friends at uni has one, so we're playing it a lot.
Gone, forever.

QFT -- I loved Dragon Warrior. I had difficulties adjusting to the whole 3D game shift; my nephews thought it was hysterical because I kept walking into walls playing some easy Mario game... I can handle them now, but I still love the old-style NES.
However, Atari's pretty nostalgic for me, too -- we had a TON of games on that, and my dad used to soup them up himself. Some of my favorites were Qix, Super Breakout, Snokie, Return of the Mountain King (actually, the game sucked, but the music was awesome), Montezuma, Galaxy (or something like that)... Gosh, I can't even remember them all! Oh, yeah -- Frogger! How could I forget you, Frogger? A lot of the Neopets games are rehashings of some of those old Atari games.
Qix --> Web of Vernax
Super Breakout --> Frumball/Korbat's Lab
Snokie --> Let it Slide (sort of)
Montezuma --> Caves and Corridors (sort of)
Galaxy --> Swarm (except Galaxy was way harder and cooler)
Frogger --> Petpet Rescue
Stowaway Sting reminds me of some old Atari game, too...
And since these Atari games were all played with a joystick, I think they should count.

Blue graffitied on my signature... But it made me laugh, so it's all good!
