I've been at PPT a long time. From what I recall, I joined during the Missing Petpets non-plot, five and a half years ago. I was fifteen, and had nothing better to do than stay up all hours of the night having pudding fights while my fellow PPTers and I waited for an update.
Thinking about how much I've changed has made me wonder if I haven't been here too long. Over the past few weeks, I've come to realize that my emotional investment in this website exists more because I've been here forever than because I like being here. This forum has given me so much--good friends, a reason to stay on Neopets, a place to talk about almost anything--but a recent dispute over intellectual property has forcefully driven home the realization that I should be directing my creative energy and enthusiasm to other tasks.
I guess what I'm saying is...it's time for me to grow up. And part of that is accepting that both PPT and I have changed until it's no longer a place I feel is right for me. It's well and good to be a longtime member of the forum, but not when I feel like a relic of a very different era in PPT's history. The exodus of most of my friends really convinced me that my decision was right, or at least a lot easier to make.
You'll still be able to find me on AIM(where I'm yennafrost); on MSN messenger(whatsajelliclecat@hotmail.com); and on May's Werewolf forums(as Moonie). I'm usually up for a game of Keyquest with friends or a bit of ranting about the idiocy in one's real life.
