From the news:

Tennas, Mallards, Greebles and Trunkards can be painted Faerie at the Petpet Puddle.

OK. honestly, aren't these just the most pathetic little creatures you have ever seen? The greeble looks like he is nailed to the wall and the tenna
looks downright embarassed to be wearing wings. The poor little mallard isn't symmetric and the trunkard, well let's not even go there!

As my momma always said, haste makes waste. I just think that a bit more time spent on these drawings and these poor little petpets would be worthy of the nps spent on them.

well I pretty much agree, but I do like the mallard, it doesn't have to be symetrical

The thing that bothers me about the Tenna is the fact that he looks like he's trying to play innocent...like...bad innocent...

exactly what i thought when i saw the new faerie petpets. i'm glad someone else brought it up. they look rushed, thrown together, and nowhere near up to par with say, the faerie polarchuck or faerie searex.

i've been disappointed by petpets lately. first the crappy cooking pot petpets, then the microsoft paint pirate petpets, and now these. bleah.

The thing I don't get is all the bright neon colors! They hurt my eyes 8)
And the top petpet look like its nose melted.
I agree morningstar, these petpets could definitely use some improvement.

I think when it comes down to it, these are just colour-fills of the basic petpets with wings pasted on.
Another thing I noticed is that most, if not all of these petpets are some of the most cheap you can buy.
That poor Greeble...ha ha...now that you mention it it does look as if he's been nailed to a wall

I personally like the Mallard...but the Greeble does look pretty.. out of it.

The Tenna does look a little embarassed but I think the Trunkard is fine.

trunkards are unbuyable.

but still, the original trunkard has that lovely transparent frill thing going on, which is completely killed in the faerie version. for their prices, faerie versions should look prettier and better drawn, not worse.

compare:

it looks like more work went into the original.

Yea, I'm sorta worried about the Greeble. Makes me think that maybe it's been caught in the headlights of a car...

Anywho... I have a Greebly floating around in my SDB. I got it from the WoE ages ago. The only reason I kept it was because I use it when I visit Turmy. I don't mind if it gets eaten :P

But since they said they were going to update some of the older petpets I've been holding on to a slim hope that they might do the Greeble and make it look sorta cute... or at least, less ugly.

But TNT, if you're reading this, I don't want something that looks like it's about to be roadkill.

I personally think that these Faerie petpets are by far worse than what Neo released today. Just slapped on some wings on the basic models (a shame in the case of the Faerie Anubis because there was a beautiful one on the server beforehand)

i agree, rune. faerie petpets need to be much better than that. there needs to be some effort involved.

the standard should be set by such lovely redraws such as these:

now THOSE are faerie paint jobs to be proud to spend your NP on. clearly redraws that had time spent on them. these new ones, and the ones pointed out by rune--why would anyone bother dropping a ton of neopoints on them?

The colors of the new petpets look all wrong. I guess TNT NEED glasses.
The tenna looks like it has something against the wings.
