Ok, Ratings! ...

Watericesage, "Small, Pink and Dangerous"
Well done! I really like this. There's not much to say about it actually! Just 'well done'!

Kurisutaru, "Not just a little threat"
It took me a while to see what you mean. I think its alright. I don't see the need for italics though. If you wanted the 'little' to be different you could have done it in a smaller size, like this: "Not just a little threat".

Duckey, "Call me Bond *fade out* fade in* Baby Bond"
Not the best. I don't really like it, but I can see what you mean. Try to think of something more original next time.

Dawn2, "Who ever said evil *fade* Can't be cute?"
Great! :D Like watericesage, I can't think of anything more to say!

.:Requiem:., "Evil takes a baby form"
Not bad, it just lacks something special. It doesn't stand out as being "Wow!!". Its not the worst though.

Livin_in_the_shadow, "Step away from from the gun"
I don't like it. It sounds like the bruce talking... but wheres the other gun?
And it wouldn't sound right if it was directed at the bruce either...

Sirclucky, "When everything is said and done *fade* fear the baby with the gun"
Nice. I like the rhyme, and the fading fits well. Good job!

Anubis, "Purple guns *fade out, then in* and pink bows *fade out, then in* are the latest fashion... *fade out, and then in* ... you'd be wise to agree!"
There are a lot of fades there! And to be practical, all of it would probably make the file size too big, if the fading was good quality anyway.
But the actual text is ok. Its a red bow though. :P Apart from being too long, it is alright. Not the best.

Twizzler0171, "The only real evil"
Hmm, this is quite good. There isn't anything outstanding... but its good. :)
Short but sweet. Well, not really sweet..... but you know what I mean!

Syrill, "Everybody has to take over the world...why not babies with ray guns?"
I don't like it I'm afraid. Its a bit long, and you've tried to make it funny - but I just don't really think it is... Sorry!

Qanda, "*flash* Beware: Armed baby on the loose! *flash*"
This is pretty good :) I don't know what you mean by *flash* though. Do you mean something like fade, or is it just supposed to say '*flash*'?
Anyway... well done!

o_0, "Who ever said babies shouldn't play... *fade out**fade in* with guns?*fade out**repeat*"
I like this one too! The fading fits very well and goes with the signature.

VeraX, "Not all little pink babies.. *fade out**fade in* are cute and lovable. *fade out* *repeat*"
Very good! :D Why is there never anything to say about the good entries?? ;)
Well, I like it.

Hellyer, "*fade in*Small+Pink+Raygun=*fadeout and in*...Evil?*fade out* *repeat*"
Ha ha ha! I like it!! Well done. Unfortunately it was after the deadline... its up to AutumnElf if you can take part any more...

Loser1921, "One baby *fade in& out* I wouldn't mess with*repeat*"
Well done, this is a very good subtext :) Definitely goes with the signature.

Note: 10 out of 15 entries had fades in them this round... I think its very good, as the subtext had to fit onto the text bar. So well done if you thought about that. Had lots of good subtexts so it was quite hard to choose who to eliminate....

I choose to eliminate... Livin_in_the_shadow and Syrill andDuckey.

Thanks. :) By *flash* I meant that the subtext is flashing (or blinking), preferably red. ;)

Deadline was on Tuesday.

Well I guess you couldn't include it then could you.

Depends on AE's decision, when she comes back.

Watericesage: I'm with Maniac. I can't say anything.

Kuri: I agree with you on the not so little threat. I had a red aisha that was shot by Boochi. But it's MEH for me.

EXCUSE ME ONE MOMENT...27 HUGS ALREADY! :D

Duckey: I don't like it. I just don't see Boochi as the whole James Bond thing.

Dawn: Just like WIS. Can't say anything. Speechlessness. :) You definetly saved yourself from last week.

Requiem: Not good, not bad. Kinda in the middle.

LITS: It makes no sense whatsoever.

Sirclucky: Nice use of rhyme/repetition! :) I love it!

Anubis: Great subtext, but too many fades. The signature would be over 100k without distorting the set, and no one wants that.

Twiz: Meh. It's not great, not bad.

Syrill: It's that kind of humour that's "almost" funny. I don't like it, though.

Qanda: LOL! It's more funny, then ALMOST funny, but you're safe. :)

Mark: ALMOST too many fades, but not close enough. It's quite good...good job.

Vera: <3 I LURVE IT.

Hellyer: It's good...BUT...you missed teh deadline.

Loser: The BEST subtext of them all. Goes the best. :)

EDIT - As usual, I forget people. Syrill, Duckey and LITS

Judges Notes:
Well, I made this signature with the area for the subtext to see if people would take that into account. I can see, that most of you did, and I am happy because that is a major part of subtexting(yes, I made a word up). An all around ok round you guys, keep it up.

Ratings:

WIS---Small, Pink and Dangerous
Nice, fits in well with the signature, and it fits in the space provided for the subtexts, well done!

Kurisutaru---Not just a little threat
Sure, I see it. It isn’t an amazing subtext, but it will do.

Duckey---Call me Bond *fade out* fade in* Baby Bond
I can see where you are coming from, and what you were trying to do, but I don’t think the subtext is very good. Yes, it is original, but it really doesn’t fit in well with the signature, in my opinion.

Dawn---Who ever said evil *fade* Can't be cute?
I like this one a lot. It fits perfectly with what Boochi is and what he does. Plus it fits in the space provided for the subtext. Well done.

.:Requiem:.---Evil takes a baby form
I like this one. Just like Dawn’s it fits Boochi perfectly. Excellent work.

LITS---Step away from from the gun
I don’t particularly like this one. It just doesn’t seem to fit in with the signature. I can see what you were trying to do, but I just don’t think it worked.

Sirclucky---When everything is said and done *fade* fear the baby with the gun
Hey, it rhymes. The subtext itself is good, but it doesn’t look like it would fit on the signature. You have to take into account how much space you have when you are making up a subtext, and I just don’t think that this would fit.

Anubis---Purple guns *fade out, then in* and pink bows *fade out, then in* are the latest fashion... *fade out, and then in* ... you'd be wise to agree!
I’m on the fence with this subtext. I see the subtext, and where you got it from, but in my opinion, it just doesn’t work with this signature. Also, the signature is too long, even with the fades. It would just take too long to read.

Twiz---The only real evil
Not bad, but not great either. I can see this subtext on the signature, but I wouldn’t choose this one before some of the other ones.

Syrill---Everybody has to take over the world...why not babies with ray guns?
Umm, I don’t quite get this signature. Everybody doesn’t have to take over the world, and Boochi isn’t trying to take over the world. Also, this signature is way too long. It wouldn’t fit in the signature area, and it would even be too long on a signature that didn’t have a small area like that.

Qanda---*flash* Beware: Armed baby on the loose! *flash*
Eh, it is ok. Not a great one, but not terrible. Like I said to Twiz, I can see this one on the signature, but not before a few others.

Mark---Who ever said babies shouldn't play... *fade out**fade in* with guns?*fade out**repeat*
I like. It looks like it just fits in the subtext area, and it is funny. Nice job!

VeraX---Not all little pink babies.. *fade out**fade in* are cute and lovable. *fade out* *repeat*
I love this one. Great work!

Hellyer---*fade in*Small+Pink+Raygun=*fadeout and in*...Evil?*fade out* *repeat* (Entered after the deadline)
(I will rate this, even if it was entered after the deadline)
I don’t particularly like it, but that’s just me. I see it on the signature though, so I think it works.

Loser1921---One baby *fade in& out* I wouldn't mess with*repeat
Yeah, I like this one, it works well. Good job.

Eliminate:
Syrill and Duckey

:P Yep...mine sucks...it wasn't trying to be humorous though...it was trying to be like...Wow...that is a horrible sig *flee*

Sorry! I was sick this week, so I couldn't get on. Continue with the ratings though, just choose three people to eliminate this time. Hellyer, I'll accept your subtext as it's my own fault I didn't post myself on the deadline.

5 people to eliminate? :o I thought it was two per round normally?

Actually, I start out with a number then go smaller on the number of people to eliminate depending on the number of people in the game. I would have had the judges choose five to eliminate last round, but three people missed the deadline so they would have been eliminated anyway.

I think five people is pretty heavy. Three would be better?

I agree... but its not my contest...

Sun Apr 17, 2005 1:36 pm

Yeah, I also think it is a bit harsh to kick out so many people based on just one set...
