(hey, this is a fairy tale- I just remembered that. Quite a number of fairies here ;))
Fawilyn raised an eyebrow, wondering if he meant her to follow. He seemed to direct that, though she had no idea why he would do so. Follow to what? She did, after he walked on for awhile, although was halted by the shouts of another drenched person... but this one had wings. What did he look like- a drowned butterfly? She knew he wasn't in the water at the time, he must had been in the path of the destruction. She wasn't sure if she should follow, now with this obviously upset fairy here, too. However, she was quite curious to find out more of this rabbit man. Fawilyn had never seen people like that before... or at least in a rabbit form. She didn't want to get in the way of anything though, and she reminded herself that she still needed to get the seeds, but her feet disobeyed and kept moving toward where the man was heading.

What kind of silly person needs a signature?

"Sure, whatever," Seed muttered, and began to follow Meiou. However, his jovial nature took over, and before long he said, "I'm Wildseed by the way, but most people just call me Seed. Who are you two?" He directed his question at both his companions, Fawilyn and Meiou, and tried to flutter his wings to show Fawilyn, and hopefully impress her.

However, his wings just made a squelchy sound, and Seed forced himself not to scream at the bunnyman.

[Seed loves his wings. =[]

He would lead them into the woods trying to get some of the water out as they went. "Meiou. " He said before finding a good spot and stopped. He began to shuck his tunic hangin it up on a branch revealing his chain shirt. He gathered up some sticks and quickly created a fire before sitting by it to dry off.

Shade smiled. He'd always liked his name. He was told that his last name came from the word light in another language, and he loved how his first name just contrasted with it. "I'm Shade Llucen..." he said, a little quietly, although he did not know why. Perhaps he did not want to speak so loudly that he disrupted the beauty of nature. Raynault had said that once before. "Speak softly, or better, don't speak at all, lest all the wonders of nature pass you by..."

"You leave here, then? I live on the western fringe of the town, near the forest." On a second thought, he added, "which school do you go to? You look somewhat familiar..." He looked towards the floor as he said this, as not to appear to prideful, but smiled faintly nevertheless. He didn't want to lose a friend before he made one.

{ haha, jade, I'll let you decide. BTW, I love your little doll set! }

((Gack, gonna have to elbow my way in here... though I wish I had a more opportune moment to do so.))

There came a sharp rapping on the door to the paper shop, as the diminuative cloaked figure thwacked the timbers persistantly with his rod. The knocking was soon accompanied by a deep "woof" at the window.

"Yelgan, get down!" the boy reprimanded the husky, "Have you no manners?"

The dog sat back on his haunches and cocked his head to one side.

"Well, I'm certain someone is here," he replied, "And if they are, I won't have them finding you slobbering all over the panes."

The dog grumbled indignantly, and turned his attention toward the door, giving another deep "woof" to the occupants inside.

Lerany stood up and brushed the dirt off her robes. She took her staff and looked at the glittering moon inside. She had to keep trying the spell, she would eventually get it right, wouldn't she?

Holding her staff out over the river, she pursed her lips and closed her eyes. She relaxed as best as she could, and started chanting the spell in her thoughts.

Water,
always with the earth,
never pure, never pure,
seperate from the others,
be pure, be free

As she repeated the chant, the water under her staff rippled, first slowly, then rapidly. A lump seemed to form in the water, rising from the ripple.. rising...

SPLAT. The lump burst, and water was splashed everywhere, completely saturating Lerany. Blinking her eyes in suprise, she relised she had failed the spell, again. She threw her staff down in frustration.
"Again! I'm not going to be going home for weeks, I fail each spell so miserably."
When she relised she had yelled this outloud, her pale skin went a pink shade. She bend down and started squeezing some of the water out of her deep purple robe.

((Sorry for not posting yesterday, Lilac. As soon as dad got home, he made me go into town with him so I could choose out my calculator, which I thought we had already decided which one I was going to get. <_<))

"Terran," a voice called out from the stable doorway. Terran had gone back to talking to the horses, and did not hear. "Terran!"

He heard the second time, and he jumped, startled. He whirled around, looking for the source of the voice, and paused when he saw his twin sister.

"Terran, mother wants you to go and get some more paper - she's run out again, and Arren and Trystan are busy. Although, I dare say a bit of fresh air would do you good..." She paused for a moment, grinning at her brother, before continuing. "Mother says you are to be back before it gets too dark. Which means you aren't to wander."

Terran nodded, and took the money which Tarina was giving to him to get the paper. "I'll be back long before then, Tarina."

Smiling, he walked past her and onto the path.

[Heh, thanks Divine xP 'Twas made by Jaye ^.^]

'Yes, I live here,' Caress answered, taking a swift glance at her cottage. She paused at his next words. School? Perhaps he had mistaken her for a girl ... not that she took offense to that. She did not have wings, as most fairies did, and the magical ability she posessed wasn't even a control of an element, such as "wind" or "water", but being able to talk to animals, which some people would say didn't count as magic at all. School ... well, some fairies and elves would go to school if they took an interest in one of the human's subjects - such as literacy or arithmetic, but most did not. And Caress did not, either.

She shook her head. 'I don't go to school.'

((hey everyone! sorry for my lateish start... I like chipmunks. They're tasty.

Name: Sir Maddox Alexandria Magwitch Jehosephat Marley LXVIII
Race: mermaid-ish (will be explained later)
Gender: female
Age: 25
Skills/Current job: traveling minstrel. Has mad poetry skills, and is a practised liar.

Appearance: She has straight, reddish-brown hair that has been cut to fall somewhere between her chin and earlobes. Her avocado-green eyes are only complimented by her dazzlingly bright fuscia tail. Generally, she does not like to wear shells as clothing, as she finds such exposure indecent and that large crustaceans are not commonly found in freshwater, and those existing are not quite so prettily coloured. Instead, she prefers winter coats, Victorian-esque white shirts, and burlap sacks. Because she is a mermaid, she tends to stick to bodies of water, but when she needs to go on land, she has a little trolley-cart carrying a large glass case of water, into which she inserts herself and scoots along.

Personality: A compulsive liar, she has a habit of saying the most outrageous things with a completely straight face, as if it were the hard truth. She takes much joy in making up epic poems, especially adding to the one about her family. She is not one to carry grudges, but if angered, she will devise some delightful punishment for the offender. Maddox enjoys a good laugh, umbrellas, shiny baubles, words with double o's (like swoon, baboon, typhoon, and poo) and lemon meringue pies, while disliking people who have no sense of humour, the colour taupe, and prosthetic limbs.

History: Maddox has written a 5482-line epic poem (in a limping iambic pentameter peppered with a few iambic hexameters here and there) about her family history, starting with her 42nd cousin, 8 times removed, and tracing her family tree to her, the youngest of 17 children who were born and raised in a cabbage patch somewhere on the south side of a rather mountainous range of mountains. According to the poem, all 16 of her siblings were turned into cucumbers when a gargoyle accidentally sneezed on a bunch of dandelion fluff that fluttered its way into the cabbage patch and began to grow, spreading its ill will and malice over the entire family. Maddox survived by floundering over into a neighboring river (a rather daunting task, seeing how mermaids do not do well on land) and swimming to freedom.
It is not quite certain how much of her epic is true, for she is a compulsive liar, and did have to change a few words so that the line would follow meter.
She was knighted by the royal family for her contributions to society through her music and poetry (much like how the Beatles and Elton John were, except not really)

Again many apologies for coming in late, and even more for not posting an actual post right now (that may change in a couple of hours) ))

{ my head is on the verge of exploding... I've been in too much RPs lately... XD }

"You don't?" Shade said, obviously not expecting that answer. There was a moment of silence before he continued: "I'm so sorry... you look familiar, that's all..." his voice drifted away; he couldn't think of what else to say. After a few seconds, staring into the sunset again, he decided to talk about the subject of magic. "Well, if you don't go to school, are you interested in any kind of magic?

"I myself am a student of Raynault... have you heard about him? He's a famous priest," he added, smiling. "I learn about light magic from him... it's so wonderful..." he said dreamily, eyes shining. "Light... it's the most wondrous thing on the planet... ever... it's so miraculous..."

The sun was, ever so slowly, drifting downwards under the faint horizon line, and the stars and moon were beginning to wake from their sweet slumber. Shade gestured towards the path back to the town. "Want to take a walk?" He did not want to return to his house just yet, although his stomach was starting to feel a little empty. A little walk wouldn't hurt though, he decided. He hoped he didn't appear too self-concious in front of this girl. Hopefully he would make another friend. He never had much, and although he never really minded it in his childhood days, he was starting to. In the back of his mind, he wondered why.

{ Ick. }

Upon taking liberty in answering the door, though unwise considering his reputation in Coralie just as Captain of the infamous R.W.S. Still, Jackdaw took care in covering his ears with his hat before opening the door. He expected some one taller for a moment, then looked down a little at a boy who appeared not even five feet tall yet. Jackdaw looked into the boy's emerald green eyes immediately, and did not see anything average. A large dog nearby growled faintly, but hushed when Jackdaw's singularly revealed eye shifted quickly to the animal.

Jackdaw then allowed his eyes, for it seemed he centered his vision as such, to wander to the clasp the boy had chosen for his cloak. Many thoughts crossed his mind as he observed the butteryfly hairpin, but he merely looked up at the boy's eyes again, deciding that six seconds had been a long enough delay, "Enter. Leave the dog outside." Jackdaw turned and readied himself to close the door upon the boy's entry.

Caress smiled faintly as she saw the blissful, dreamy expression that crossed Shade's face as he spoke of his beloved light magic. Her gaze drifted upwards as the first few stars were beginning to appear in the darkening sky.

'Want to go for a walk?' the boy asked. Caress blinked and looked at him quickly again. But then, as quickly as it had come, the initial surprise and slight shock subsided, and her calm came back. She generally did not talk to people all that much, but she supposed that this boy would be all right. She glanced up again, her gaze scanning the skies searchingly. Her keen eyes spotted a crow, flying in the distance. She effortlessly focused her telepathic energy towards the crow and asked it politely to do her a favour and fly three times around a blond-haired boys head when he came home to the cottage. This was the signal for her brother that she was safe and had just gone out for a while. The crow agreed.

'All right,' she answered quietly to Shade.

Thankful for the distraction from the awkward situation she’d created, Ristalia wondered who on earth could be so determined to gain entrance to her shop. She noticed the young man put his hat on before opening the door and waited curiously to see who was behind it. To her amazement, the door swung open to reveal a cute young boy. With concern, Ristalia wondered what he was doing out so close to nightfall alone. The boy’s emerald green eyes caught the young woman’s gaze as well, despite the fact that he was all the way across the room.

The boy looked well-taken care of enough, and Ristalia was relieved to see the dog sitting nearby him, at least he would have some sort of protection in the night, once he had gotten whatever he had come to her shop for in the first place. The young man spoke, “Enter. Leave the dog outside.”

“Actually, it is okay if he brings his dog with him,” Ristalia said quickly, straightening from the somewhat hunched-over position she had descended to in her embarrassment only moments before. “As long as the dog can behave itself, as it is now, I don’t mind. Night is falling, I wouldn’t want it to be left out on the street,” she said, and then looked straight at the young man, “Unless you think the dog might be dangerous.”

She wasn’t quite sure why she asked the young man’s opinion. Somehow, despite the young man’s mysterious nature and demeanor (as well as questionable genealogy), Ristalia felt safer with him there. He, at least, seemed to know what he was doing in terms of dealing with strangers. Waiting for the boy to respond, Ristalia quietly closed the young man’s journal without looking again at the lovely sketch. Her movement was fluid and gentle; she touched the journal with even greater reverence now, knowing not only of its superior workmanship, but also the treasure it held within its two covers. No need for the young man’s privacy to be further invaded by yet another stranger gazing upon it.

"Name..." she said, halting at the sound of wet wings. "Um," she continued as if she hadn't heard them, "Fawilyn. You must live around here." She had seen him before a few times before. Although, when she has, unfortunately, he was stuck in what she assumed to be an embarassing situation. Fawilyn wondered if he had ever saw her stall before... there was always time to get another local customer. She turned to Meiou. "Um, I haven't quite seen you around though." She assumed an offer of one of her carrots was out of line. The she told herself promptly that it was a silly thought. Was she making friends or doing business? Of course... I could do both... oh silly girl, go have a life besides moping around home all day. Have a few drinks. See places. Flirt. ...No silly, not with them. The winged one is too young and the rabbit is too old. Fawilyn even thought she was crazy for having a conversation with herself.

He sighed letting down his hard demenor. "Please sit and dry off." He smiled to the two of them softly this was a first. "I am not from these parts. I come from far far away." He began to take off his chain shirt and set it aside.
