Babbage didn't invent the first computer, he designed the first computer. He did, however, find the route to decode the Vigenere cipher. And he was a lovable grumpy old codger, like Ray Bradbury.

And Divine, would I pass up the chance to quote Harry Potter when I could? In fact, two of the quotes you cited are from Harry Potter.

also, here are some quotes from TV movies. my friend and I get a kick out of watching/making fun of disaster movies. here are two of our favorites from 10.5, a really cheesy earthquake movie (particularly funny because I'm a Californian). i hope we weren't only supposed to post serious quotes... :P

also, a priceless quote from a TV movie my friend and I just happened to catch one day when we were bored (twas lucky, too, 'cause I almost never watch TV). The movie was called Homeland Security: The Docu-Drama.

okay, so i thought they were funny! :P

i also have about thirteen pages of typed quotes from my junior and senior year of high school, things i wrote down that friends/teachers/random people said. mostly on the funny side. but I won't plague with any of those. :D
