i'm a recovering quote-a-holic.
"Her mother told her once that when you feel someone else's pain and joy as powerfully as if it were your own, then you knew you really loved them." -The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, 3rd book, by Ann Brashares
"What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life." -Walt Whitman
"There is no remedy for love but to love more." -Henry David Thoreau
also, here are some quotes from TV movies. my friend and I get a kick out of watching/making fun of disaster movies. here are two of our favorites from
10.5, a really cheesy earthquake movie (particularly funny because I'm a Californian). i hope we weren't only supposed to post serious quotes...
"Mr. President, there's been an earthquake." -some guy in the white house
"I am authorizing the evacuation of the entire west coast." -the president
also, a priceless quote from a TV movie my friend and I just happened to catch one day when we were bored (twas lucky, too, 'cause I almost never watch TV). The movie was called
Homeland Security: The Docu-Drama.
"We're talking about the security in the homeland."-some random official
okay, so i thought they were funny!
i also have about thirteen pages of typed quotes from my junior and senior year of high school, things i wrote down that friends/teachers/random people said. mostly on the funny side. but I won't plague with any of those.
