HEE.
We made a rubbish model of a prokaryotic cell today. As in, the model made from rubbish.
HEE.
It was really fun while making it. Especially the "crisis" with the glue gun:
A: "Okay, I'm going to put glue on it now."
B: "okay, hurry and stick it on!"
A: "....IT'S DRY!!"
B: "put glue on again!"
me: "-sticks- OUCH! My finger has glue on it!"
Background info now: prokaryotic cells have free floating DNA and ribosomes.
me: "Let's stick this piece of plastic on top. -sticks-"
B: "Okay, now put the ribosomes in (beads). Should we use these shiny ones?"
me: "sure"
B: "-puts them in-"
me: "don't glue them down, they're free floating."
me: "-shakes the "cell" (made from cardboard) and "ribosomes" move around. Hee! This is so fun!"
B: "What about the DNA?"
me: "let's do this: stick the messed up string on a piece of trimmed cloth. So then the string is the DNA and the cloth is the nucleic region."
B: "okay"
Then we did that together.
me: "Don't stick them down to the cytoplasm. It's free floating, see. -moves the chunk around the 'cell'-"
And we somehow broke into laughter. XD
I took a picture of it with my phone since I didn't bring my camera

Will post in the picture topic once I get it uploaded to my computer.
