Round notes: Look at ALL that space! There’s loads of room! Mostly it was left unused… And there are more colours than purple…

Quote:
_jade_em_ - Dreaming within an azurite veil – 7/10

I like this. It’s a nice one to start with.
I like the fact you’ve not used the word purple and used azurite instead. But that’s not the only colour there. Nice job overall.

.:Requiem:. - Spellbinding Spectrum - 8/10

I really like this one. I like the way you’ve used alliteration and the words you use really suit the subtext. I especially like the use of ‘Spectrum’ as it makes me think of lots of different colours instead of just purple.

I’m only marking you down because of how much space there was and how little of it this would have used on it.

Anubis - Multicolour Glow - 5/10

It’s a little boring. Sure you didn’t use purple but your wording is kind of drab. I really like Bangel’s recommendation here. ‘Kaleidoscopic Brilliance’ would have been amazing.

But still. It’s a little small. Points off for that.

Blk Mage - Lost within the Rapture - 8/10

I like this. You’ve gone down a different route. This makes me think of dreaming and the signature is very dreamlike. I like the word Rapture and you’ve tried to use up a lot of the space. Good try. ^^

Fiddelysquat - From purple's deep and lucid depths
I've wandered far away
The journey wore me out until
I'd faded in to gray. - 6/10

Doesn’t anyone else think it’s a little… much? I’d have to be really bored to stop and wait to read it all.
I agree it’s very good but I think you tried a little too hard Fidds. I like it. But the first two lines would have sufficed. (Granted then I’d probably be whining that you’d used the colour purple but still… Shhh :P)

Forest_Majesty - Peerless Pixel Perfection - 9/10

I really like this. You’ve used up quite a big chunk of space and you’ve used alliteration. You’ve also stayed away from the evil purple. Great job.

Jen - See digital, See colours - 1/10

The first time I read it, it made me laugh. But I have no idea why… I think it was because of how blunt it is. I really don’t like it… it’s just stating what’s there…

Mjrinella - Mislaid in the vortex - 8/10

I really like your wording. It makes me think of being lost in the unknown. Nice Job.

PaperfacesX022 - Purple Majesty - 4/10

It’s kind of drab. I'd really have liked a bit more.
Your use of majesty… I'm not sure whether you meant that you thought the purple was regal or you meant regal as in splendour or magnificence. The latter would make more sense as I usually associate bolder colours as ‘regal’ colours. Also see my round notes.

Pattypus - Pixelated Purple - 5/10

I like the alliteration… and the fact you drew attention to the blocky-ness(For lack of a better word) of the set. If you look closer at the top there are kind of blocks there. Other than that check the Round notes.

Stephanie - Purple Haze - 2/10

Check my round notes and this is very similar to WIS’ and his was posted first. I understand you probably didn’t read his but you should read everyone’s. It’s never good when your subtext is similar to someone else’s.

Twinkle - A digital dream… - 6/10

It’s nice. I like your wording. I also like the way you trailed off but it probably wouldn’t look very good on the image. Plus the subtext’s a little small considering the room on the image. Marks off for that.

WIS - Digital Haze - 6/10

It’s good you didn’t mention purple but check my round notes.

Xil - Only we let the purple in - 1/10

Uhhh… What? I don’t get it. Is it supposed to be funny or something? This just confuses me… I don’t know what you’re getting at.

Eliminate:
1. Jens
2. Xil
3. Stephanie

Done now... at least I think so. O.o

Aw, I'm sorry. But I never took off anything for it and I still liked it, so it's okay. :D

Oh crud. We're judging? oO

JUDGES NOTE -- Yay, no fire. No orange. I likes. Anyway, just so everyone knows. There IS a lot of empty spae in the top and bottom. If anyone used fades, they could easily use the bottom and tops of the signature WITHOUT running the size of the signature up.

Jade: I'm a bit confused. If azure is a shade of blue, why would azurite be purple? Just my thinking.

Renn: Very nice. It goes with the difference with colours, therefore a spectrum. Spectrum makes me think of the rainbow gradient from PSP, though...oO

Anubis: Read what Andy said. :P

Blk Mage: I love it. Enough said. Nothing to say.

Fidds: Far too much, Fidd-Chan. The signature is only 81px big. Depending on what font you use, it could be anywhere from 30px or 75px.

FM: Nice. It's good. I like it.

Jen: *yawn* It's far too boring. I definetly don't like it.

Mjrinella: Dude. I keep having problems spelling your username...sorry 'bout that. Anyway, it's a very nice subtext. Not as nice as Blk's, but nice.

Paperfaces: Read Anubis, please.

Pattypus: DM likes purple, but now I'm getting tired of the word. There is no pixellization in the signature, unless you are counting the fact that a signature is made up of pixels.

Stephanie: ...seriously, I'm not rerouting everyone to my husband, but please read CD's ratings. ^^'

Twinkle: The periods (OK, full stops :P) overdramatize it. It's a nice subtext, but...no dots, D'okay?

SIW-SIW: No purple, woot. However, it would be too empty, therefore you would have to cut the signature, therefore you'd loose most of it.

Xil: Three words: What the heck? Can you explain it please, 'cause I'm confused. o_o

1: Jen
2: Xil
3: Stephanie

Judges Notes:
I was surprised on how well everyone did this round. This was a tough signature, I thought just as tough as last years blue one. Obviously not. The word ‘Purple’ was way overused. If you wanted to go in the purple direction go for it, but try to use a different word, please!

_jade_em_
Dreaming within an azurite veil
‘Azurite’ is an excellent word to be used for this signature. It captures the colours perfectly, and the rest of the subtext captures the signature very well, excellent job.

.:Requiem:.
Spellbinding Spectrum
You know, I first read this and didn’t like it, but it has grown on me. I do think it would fit well on the signature, and ‘spellbinding’ is a great word. The only problem is the length, two words is too short for this signature.

Anubis
Multicolour Glow
Thank you for not using ‘purple’ and instead went for more colours. The subtext itself is kind of dull, very average. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing special. Also, it is too short for this signature, two words isn’t long enough.

Blk Mage
Lost within the Rapture
I really love this one. An excellent subtext!

Fiddelysquat
From purple's deep and lucid depths
I've wandered far away
The journey wore me out until
I'd faded in to gray.
This is one of the rare occasions where a huge subtext fits, and this one fits quite well. The subtext fits well to, and it sound very nice, poetic. Good job!

Forest_Majesty
Peerless Pixel Perfection
Like the alliteration here, usually not a fan of them, but I like this one. I also like how you mentioned the pixilation and kind of digital-ness of the signature. Nice.

Jen
See digital, See colours
I really don’t like this one. It’s very blunt, and all you are really doing is stating the obvious. It just doesn’t work for me, sorry.

mjrinella
Mislaid in the vortex
I really like this one. Your choice of words is excellent, a very good signature.

paperfacesX022
Purple Majesty
I don’t really like this one. I don’t think it fits the signature well. The signature has a soft feel, and when I think majestic, I think bold, not soft. I just don’t think it fits, sorry.

pattypus
Pixelated Purple
Eh, pretty boring. It is short, and you used purple when you could have used a synonym easily. Purple has been overused this round. I do like the ‘Pixilated’ part though, that is nice.

Stephanie
Purple Haze
I like the ‘Haze’ part, but again, Purple has been so over used. You should have tried a synonym, lavender, violet.

Twinkle
A digital dream...
I like this one quite a bit. The signature is very soft, almost dreamy, but it does have the digital quality. You have summed it up very well, excellent job.

WIS
Digital Haze
I really like this one, your choice of words is very good, and I think it suites the signature well. Nice!

Xil
Only we let the purple in
I really don’t understand this. There are more colours than purple in the signature, even if purple is the most prominent. Also, it sounds wrong, just the way it is written does not seem right.

I chose to eliminate:
1. Xil
2. Jen
3. paperfacesX022

Round 3

Jen, Stephanie, and Xil have been eliminated from the contest.

You have until Saturday December 10th to submit a subtext. Also, I would ask that with your subtext, you say wether or not you would be willing to do a Christmas themed signature. If you do not celebrate Christmas, it wouldn't be fair for you to do a Christmas signature, so thats why I ask.

Once again, Robert, you've bolded my name wrong. :P

It's like a trend to do this[/b]

:P

Hmm

How about

A secluded path *fade* A distant laugh

I wanted to hint that there was something magical in the forest, without actually saying it boldly. :)

Erk, may change as the capitalization could lead to a problem >.<

A Christmas sig would be fine :)

Not that it's too important now, but if you look up "azure" ...

Oh, and Christmas-themed sig would be fine, I guess ...

Stuck between two either "An Evergreen Escapade" or "An Evergreen Enchantment" looks more adventurous than magical so I'll go with, yea.

An Evergreen Escapade

*amazed survived the round with the first two things judging*

Edit:X-mas would be fine.
