In the south, we don't drink pop, we drink soda. Pop is four things. It is a U2 album, an N*Sync song, a type of music, and what you do to bubbles/balloons. It is not a beverage

I call them soft drinks. Soda is some sort of baking powder. :P

I call it coke. xD

But anyways, I usually pour it in a cup, but if I can't, I'll drink from the can.

You don't really see many 'cans' of drinks nowadays, I've noticed. Well, not here anyway. Most of the more well-known soft drinks are either in plastic or glass bottles.

But if it's in a can, I drink it straight from the can.

That'd be correct, der.

When I drink soda, I drink it straight from the can, without even wiping it off! Gosh, I'm going to die!

Germophobes. :P

It's a Texas thing (at the very least). My husband did the same thing, until I got on him about it. :P

Personally, I refer to carbonated beverages such as colas, lemon lime drinks, etc as "soda". However, that is very unusual for my part of the USA. Most people here (all of my family included) refer to it as "pop". I started calling it soda because I spent a lot of time around some people from Connecticut, USA.

I called everything Coke when I was about five =P

And good on you for calling it soda. Now I don't have to yell at you.

I drink it right from the can, and I sometimes clean it, but whatever.

Glass, ice and straw if possible. If not, straight out of the can. :)

In Australia, we call them soft drinks, or fizzy drinks

Same hyar. I think I'm going to start a whole new poll about what you should call it. I'm curious to see how it turns out, and it definitely won't be biased in any way...

From the can all the way (Wow! I never thought I would see myself writing that sentence)

I mean yes you don't know where the can is from or what has happened to it but there is only a small amount while will get into your body so it won't do too much harm (unless your allergic) and as for pouring it out, you pick up some of the stuff on the cans anyway.
