I'd say, get at least to the 55 strength boost. to do that, you could either raise your level to 27, or just keep labbing and deal with training next war. i'd recommend the second option, since training probably would take too long. since your defense is quite low, i'd say replace the leaf shield with a patched magic hat if you want similar defensive icons. or you could get difference icon defenses. grab 2 ice clubs or golden compasses for 9 cheap icons each.

training is expensive alright, but it's good in the long run, with the ability for your neopet to activaly take part in plots it couldn't before. there are many plots in the past which were stritcly fighting plots...it's been awhile since we've had one, and many are anxious to have them again. be prepared. ;)

You are right on that. *stares atthe skills in awe* also, i've been noticing a lot of 33% and other healing skills as well ( Water of Life and Regeneration as example )...are those as powerful as i would think they are?

It depends. They use 40% power instead of the usual 39% (which makes more of a difference than you would think). However, you can use them on Medium for only 20% power, and they give 20% heal. Also, you only need one, because they're multiple use.

how does one go about raising health? Not like to it's max, but actually raising the potential health.

Training, fairy quests or the lab mostly.

it's not in the training options...does it just sometimes happen as a by-product of training?
