I just think it's a bit rubbish. Fair enough if you want to nick names from mythology but I think it's better to stick a bit further down the hierarchy- said friend is called Penelope- otherwise the names seem stupid and the figures are more notorious. That's why Cassandra (despite awful connotations, O WELLZ) isn't that weird but who'd call a kid Achilles?

Also, Cassandra basically means "she who entangles men".

Well, I've never heard of anyone with the same name/pronounciation as mine (it's pronounced hell-ay-na). I knew a kid whos name was Richie and his brother was Archie.. although I think Richie was his middle name. Apparently there's a girl in my school who's full name is Playte Nife Forke I know someone with the name Zofia, pronounced like Sophia or Sofia. Also, my maths teacher's last name is Wijigoonawardena, for some reason it gets easy to say after a while. I know someone with the surname Esfandyari-Moghaddam. (o_0)

But any guy with a last name that ends in "a" and any girl with a last name that ends in "o" would be a weird name since male names that in end in "o" are more common than male names that in end in "a". (Whereas female names that in end in "a" are more common than female names that in end in "o")
